Financial Contribution
Monthly: 300 CZK
First visit to the dojo is free.
The money collected from the contributions is used only for running the dojo – the tickets of the leader of the dojo coming here from Prague, buying incense sticks, candles etc.
Out of this contribution, 50 CZK is sent to the account of the Soto Zen Association of the Czech Republic and 100 CZK goes to support the Ho Sho Ji Association, which manages our central temple in France and helps to transmit Master Kaisen’s teachings in Europe.
Dojo – original place where Buddha reached Satori. “Do” means the way, “Jo” means a place. Therefore “dojo” is a place where zazen is practiced. It is a place, where the person who practices leaves all his or her illusions, all their personal truths and possessions. The term “dojo” comes from the Chinese Buddhism.
