Financial contribution
The dojo is financed from contributions paid monthly by people visiting the dojo.
The first visit to the dojo is free. A person who practices regularly contributes the amount of money he or she wishes to give, the minimum however is 300 CZK a month. Out of this contribution, 50 CZK per person are sent to the account of the Czech sangha (Soto Zen Association of the Czech Republic) and 100 CZK goes to the Ho Sho Ji Temple in France. If somebody comes only once a month, he or she can pay only 150 CZK.
The money collected from the contributions is used only for running the dojo – paying the rent, incense sticks, candles etc.
The contributions are to be given to the finance administrator or to the money box in the dojo by the 10th day of the month.
The Ho Sho Ji Temple in France is our main centre and the home of Master Kaisen. We are grateful for any additional contributions to the Temple.
Dojo – original place where Buddha reached Satori. “Do” means the way, “Jo” means a place. Therefore “dojo” is a place where zazen is practiced. It is a place, where the person who practices leaves all his or her illusions, all their own truths and possessions. The term “dojo” comes from the Chinese Buddhism.
