Leading of the dojo
A Polish monk Tomasz Dabrowski, a close disciple of Master Sando Kaisen, helped a great deal in transmitting our Master´s teachings in the Czech Republic, among other places also in Prague. He led Prague dojo for 7 years (2004 – 2011). At the end of 2011 he handed the responsibility of leading the dojo to Radek Steiger and is now helping to transmit Buddha´s teaching in Slovakia.
Radek Steiger was born in 1974 in northern Bohemia. He studied electronics and at present works in advertising. Since childhood his life has been linked to nature and spiritual search. At the age of fourteen, he started studying martial arts. When he was sixteen, he started to study Zen and began to meet Master Sando Kaisen´s disciples. Since 1992 he has been visiting the first Czech dojo located in Most. He studies the art of the Way of Tea under the tutoring of Master Nishikawa, and develops and practices his knowledge of Japanese spiritual healing.
After many years of practicing Zen and after his spiritual journey to Japan, he was ordinated a monk and given a name Bansei – a Saint Barbarian. In 2005, he started a dojo in Usti nad Labem and since 2011 he also leads dojos in Litvinov and Prague.
